At first glance at this picture its probably clear to you that I need some serious daddy mentoring... and you're right. I really have no idea what I'm doing when it comes to raising daughters but I do know I want nothing more than to raise strong independent daughters.

I thought I would try and document some of activities I do with my girls (I have 2 going on 3) so I can hold myself accountable for raising my girls the best I possibly can.

As it stands right now my oldest daughter is 6, my youngest is 2 and we are 3 months away from having a 3rd pink bedroom.

When my wife was pregnant with our first child I really wanted a boy and I guarantee every guy will secretly agree. I have no reason why, I just figured I'd have a buddy to hang out with, play hockey with, skateboard with, but little did I know that girls love to do those things also and really in the end they just want to hang out with dad.

I realized that when I exposed my daughters to the male side of life they tended to embrace it in their own little way and add their flare to it which is awesome. Example, my oldest has a pink quad, pink fishing rod and pink hockey jersey. I also realized that little girls love to wrestle, watch sports and hang out with dad way more than I ever expected.

If you're reading this you must think I'm 75 years old or have been living under a rock for the past 30 years but I truly had no idea how important the father daughter relationship was and how important we are in contributing to their success in life.

Please comment if you have anything positive to contribute.

I am a father of 3 girls who would like to raise them to be strong, independent women.
